Summary
Amends: 9 Acts in relation to financial management provisions for certain Special Accounts;
Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988
to align it with the existing administrative practice of compensation due to eligible employees being paid either through Commonwealth employers or direct to employees;
Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997
to extend the modified application of the Act which currently applies to intelligence or security agencies to law enforcement agencies that undertake sensitive activities;
Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997
and
Public Service Act 1999
to clarify that the appropriation authority for an act of grace payment, or a payment in special circumstances arising out of employment by the Commonwealth, is provided for in the annual Appropriation Acts;
Public Accounts and Audit Committee Act 1951
to correct, update and clarify certain provisions; and 4 Acts to update, clarify and align other financial management provisions. Also repeals the
Employment Services Act 1994
and
Loan Act 1977
